Terms of Delivery
Effective from 01.01.2024
The terms of delivery and payment apply to all individual competitions organized by MTB Rally, for which participants register through the MTB Rally online service. AIHIO Technologies Oy (2565994-4) maintains the MTB Rally online service through which event-specific participation rights are purchased. Participation rights include the applicable value-added tax based on the seller's value-added tax liability. We reserve the right to change prices.
Ordering
Participation rights for events are purchased by paying for the participation rights in the shopping cart. When purchasing participation rights, the buyer is required to familiarize themselves with and commit to the current terms of delivery and payment. Participant and payer information is treated confidentially. Contact information collected during the order process is used only for delivering participation rights to the individual, informing about the event, or resolving any potential uncertainties. After accepting the terms of delivery and payment and completing the payment, the buyer will receive a summary of the order with participant information via email.
Delivery Method of Paid Participation Rights
Confirmation of participation rights will be sent to the email address provided during the order process. The payer's email address must be functional. If you do not receive an email, please check your spam folder.
Personal Data and Competition Results Service
Event-specific participant and results lists include each participant's declared nickname; if not provided, the first and last name are used. The information is transferred in the form entered during registration. After the competition, result information is publicly available through the MTB Rally online service. It is permissible for the event organizer to edit/remove inappropriate or offensive name content provided during registration. Participants are not required to provide a legally verifiable first and last name, but if a participant aims for rankings based on cumulative points from multiple competitions, the participant must use a legally verifiable name.
Cancellations and Transfers of Participation Rights
A participation right can be canceled with a medical certificate, demonstrating that the participant is practically unable to attend the event. In this case, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation processing fee of €3.00 per participation right.
For a participation cancellation, the participant or the participant's guardian must present a doctor's certificate and provide the recipient's bank account number for the refund. Necessary information should be sent to the organizer's email address found in the contact details.
The organizer reserves the right to cancel the participation fee discount code provided for a partner's online store if misuse is detected, including instances where participants purchase entries solely for the sake of the discount code.
Participation, Timing Chip, and Insurance Coverage
Participants commit to following the event schedule, competition rules, and attending participant/driver meetings.
The current schedule can be found event-specifically on the MTB Rally online service.
The event organizer reserves the right to make changes to the event schedule, which will be communicated during the event's participant meeting and on the event-specific webpage in the MTB Rally online service.
Participants are responsible for taking care of the timing chip rented for the competition as per the instructions and returning the timing chip to the race office according to the schedule. For lost or deliberately damaged timing chips, the participant who paid for the participation is liable for the costs of acquiring a new timing chip incurred by the event organizer, with a compensation amount of €100.
Participants participate in events at their own risk and are obligated to ensure their own insurance coverage. When dealing with the insurance company, it is recommended to clarify that the competitions are held on bike park trails maintained by ski resorts and are not competitive sports.
Event Organizer's Responsibility for Event Cancellations
If the event is canceled, the participant will receive a refund of the participation fee from the event organizer. Refunds are processed directly through the payment service system, and separate bank account numbers do not need to be inquired from the payer. Note that the transfer of the refund may take 2-4 days depending on the payment service.
In case of cancellation, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable service fee/handling fee and delivery cost, following the guidelines of the Competition and Consumer Authority.
The terms of use and the cancellation and transfer rights of participation for MTB Rally event service also apply in cases where the price provided by the online service deviates exceptionally and erroneously from the actual price of the event. If such an erroneous price occurs and a customer has registered at the erroneous price, the MTB Rally event organizer reserves the right to cancel the respective registration. The customer will be promptly notified of the error and offered the opportunity to re-register at the correct price. The MTB Rally event organizer is not obligated to carry out the event for customers who have registered at the erroneous price.
